Figgers Foundation Celebrate the Graduation of Youth Tech Program Students in Partnership with Housing Authority of Pompano Beach
Pompano Beach, Fla. - The Figgers Foundation recently partnered with the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach to celebrate students who graduated from a community-based youth technology program. The program was created to give students hands-on experience in working with computers including basics, internet safety, and productivity tools. Students also received an introduction to AI, learning prompting skills for this new and developing technology.
Freddie Figgers, Board Chair of the Figgers Foundation, said, “It’s unbelievably satisfying to see graduates stand proud after their hard work and dedication pays off. Community based youth programs like this are an essential opportunity for youths to work in an environment where they can learn and develop skills in the ever evolving world of technology. I am incredibly proud of these five students whose diligent efforts have paid off and now have the tools to work in technology fields such as the newly emerging AI technologies. I can’t thank the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach enough. With this partnership, we aim to continue to help and support the youth of this community to have the skills and tools to navigate and lead in the digital world.”
