TALLAHASSEE, FL — October 17, 2025 — The Figgers Foundation, known for its steadfast commitment to community upliftment, has proudly announced a charitable donation to The Clean Start Initiative, a Tallahassee-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome poverty, addiction, incarceration, and homelessness.  

For more than two decades, The Clean Start Initiative has been a beacon of hope, walking alongside people on their journey to rebuild their lives. Through counseling, housing support, employment assistance, and compassionate mentorship, the organization has helped restore countless families and strengthen communities throughout North Florida.  

The Figgers Foundation’s donation will directly support Clean Start’s Annual Dinner Fundraiser — “The Power of Partnerships” — scheduled for October 23, 2025, at the TNL Performing Arts Center. This event will celebrate the transformative impact of collaboration, featuring inspiring testimonies from individuals whose lives have been changed through Clean Start’s programs.

The Figgers Foundation, established by tech entrepreneur Freddie Figgers, has long been recognized for its investments in education, healthcare, and social justice initiatives nationwide. This donation continues the foundation’s mission to bridge gaps and empower underserved communities.

In addition to the Figgers Foundation’s support, The Clean Start Initiative is calling on local businesses, faith groups, and individuals to join the movement by contributing toward its $25,000 fundraising goal. These funds will provide meals, housing assistance, case management, and emergency relief for families in crisis — ensuring that the organization can continue its vital work throughout the year.
