Figgers Foundation Partners in CommunityCare Health & Wellness Expo to Advance Digital Equity and Community Health

West Palm Beach, FL — The Figgers Foundation proudly participated in the CommunityCare Health & Wellness Expo held at the U.B. Kinsey Educational & Community Center, an impactful community event focused on expanding access to health, wellness, and essential resources for Palm Beach County residents.

As part of the event, the Figgers Foundation led a technology distribution initiative, providing tablets to community members to help bridge the digital divide and improve access to critical services, including telehealth, education, and workforce opportunities.

The CommunityCare Expo brought together local health and wellness providers, offering attendees access to valuable resources, live demonstrations, and family-friendly activities; all aimed at building a healthier, more connected community.

Palm Beach County Commissioner Bobby Powell highlighted the importance of the initiative, stating: “My name is County Commissioner Bobby Powell—this is an amazing event in coordination with the Figgers Foundation, where we are giving out tablets... It helps to close the digital divide here in Palm Beach County.”

Deshonae Luster, Executive Director of the Figgers Foundation, emphasized the broader impact of the work: “This event represents the intersection of health and technology. By equipping families with digital tools and connecting them to local health resources, we are empowering communities to take control of their well-being and future.”

Through initiatives like this, the Figgers Foundation continues to expand its mission of digital inclusion—ensuring that underserved communities have the tools, training, and access needed to thrive in today’s digital world.
